This is a story I'm writing, and hoping to maybe get published some day. Just thought I'd put it up. ---- Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Prologue ---- There was a rustle of leaves in the forest as a large snake slithered its way out. This snake was a Steel Anaconda, a breed of snake known for its ability to digest metal, making it a threat to the citizens of Puppitros Town. The large grey snake slithered along, its eyes glittering hungrily in the sunlight. He spotted a small form sitting in a tree. If the Snake could have smiled, it would have, for the figure was an Android. Android’s are the Dominant Species of the world of Mechanexx. Small people about the size of 10 year old children, basically Puppets made out of steel. Unlike other Robots on the planet, Androids are self aware, have personalities, and are the most intelligent beings on the planet. This one in the tree, in particular, was a rather lazy Android named Simeta. Simeta’s eyes were always half closed due to his laziness, and he spoke with a yawning tone. Despite all this, Simeta had the highest IQ in the entire town. Simeta lay on a large tree branch, his black cloak wrapped over him like a blanket, and his black, elfish hat, covering his face. Slowly the Anaconda made its way up the tree. It was about to take a bite out of Simeta, when suddenly there was a cry of “NOW!” Suddenly a Tarot card flew out of the tree and landed on the branch, alongside the Anaconda. The Snake, distracted, turned to stare. Simeta instantly stood up and jumped away, into another tree. Suddenly with a loud bang, the card exploded, completely reducing the branch to ash, along with parts of the tree. Three figures emerged from the trees. One wore a blue cloak and hat. He had yellow eyes and bright red hair that covered half his face. This Android was known as Sasu Bladearm. Another one, who looked like a Jester, stood beside him. He wore a short, red cloak, and large black and white conical hat, complete with goofy, jester-like shoes. This was Jez Kardbom, the Jester Warrior, famous for his explosive Tarot Cards. The third of course, was Simeta. “Is that it?” Sasu spoke up. “Did we finish him?” Suddenly there was a loud hissing noise, and the anaconda reared up from the ash. “I’m guessing that’s a no.” Jez said. Sasu jumped forward, extending his left arm. With a clang like the sound of an unsheathing sword, a sword blade extended from his wrist. He slashed at the snake, but the slippery reptile ducked below the slash and sunk his teeth into Sasu’s leg. Sasu let out a grunt of pain, the Anaconda’s venom was already slowing his systems. Simeta yawned and took out a large sword. He tossed it through the air like a boomerang. It sailed towards the Anaconda, who could do nothing to protect itself. There was a gross squishing noise as the Anaconda was cleaved in half by Simeta’s blade. Simeta lazily stuck out his hand and caught the blade as it returned. “What were you THINKING, Sasu?!” Yelled Jez suddenly. “Your rash attack on the anaconda could have cost us our lives!” Sasu glared. “Sorry.” He said to his comrade. “Next time be more careful.” Simeta said lazily. Sasu nodded. Jez gave the young android a final glare and stalked off, back to town. Sasu trudged along after him, Simeta following. Once they returned to town, they reported to the Leader of the Androia Guardia, the organization they worked for. Androia Guardia was formed countless ages ago, some say by the Higher Power himself. Nevertheless, the one thing everyone knew about it was that it was sworn to protect all Androids. “Excellent work, boys.” The Leader said. “That anacondas been terrorizing the land for weeks.” The trio bowed respectfully. “You can get going.” The Leader said with a dismissive wave of his hand. Jez and Sasu headed out the door, Simeta staying behind. He stood in place, staring at the leader with an unreadable expression. Suddenly, the Leader, who’d had his back turned, noticed Simeta standing there. “Is there something you need, boy?” The Leader asked. Suddenly Jez leapt through the doorway, tossing an exploding card at the Leader. The Leader gave a start and ducked below his desk. “My my, Jez.” Simeta said. “I always knew you were ambitious…But this?” Jez glared. “Shut up.” He grabbed the Leader. “I’m going to kill you. I should have been elected lead of the Androia Guardia, not YOU! I’ve been here longer, I have more experience…And yet they picked YOU! I’ll show you…I’ll show the whole town!” The Leader swallowed nervously as Jez prepared to throw a card into his face. Sasu walked through the streets of Puppitros. There was never anything to do. All the action went on outside the city walls, but he was only allowed out during missions. Those were the rules for the Androia. “MAN, I wish there’d be SOME action!” He said. Suddenly, there was a massive explosion, and Androids scattered all over the place, screaming. “Huh. It worked.” Sasu said in surprise. Suddenly he realized where the explosion had come from. “…Oh no…” He said so quietly it was almost a whisper. He took off in the direction of the Androia Guardia base. Sasu stopped in the wreckage of the Leaders room. The leaders body was in pieces, permanently beyond repair. But it wasn’t that Sasu was interested in. It was the fact that his best friend, Simeta’s body was laying on the floor, damaged WORSE than the leader. “No…” Sasu said. Simeta may have been lazy, but he was the one person Sasu had ever been able to call Friend. Suddenly he heard laughter. He looked over at some of the wreckage, to see Jez pulling himself from the wreckage. He was damaged, but easily reparable. “I’VE DONE IT.” He shouted. “I’VE MADE HIM PAY! Now…FOR THE TOWN!” With a maddening laugh, he tossed his Card bombs everywhere. Sasu watched in horror as the town he’d been created and raised in went up in flames, and one of his Partners caused it. “NOOOO!” He screamed, launching himself, blade unsheathed, at Jez. He stabbed the Jester straight through his steel heart. The Jesters metal mouth parted in a silent scream. Suddenly Sasu noticed a Winged shape overhead. It dove down and scooped up Jez in its claws, landing on a large airship. Suddenly the Airship let out a roar of engines and began to fly off. A single note flew down from the ship, on the back of a Non-Explosive Tarot Card. It read, “Well Sasu, looks like I win. I’ll see you when I conquer the world… ~Jez Kardbom~ The Dark Jester” Sadly, Sasu looked around at the ruined city. It was hard to believe that mere hours ago, it had been thriving, and he had just returned from a mission. Now, it was in a state of permanent disrepair, thanks to a traitor. He gripped the directions on the card so tightly, out of rage, that they nearly ripped. “I may not be too powerful.” Sasu announced to himself. “I may not be too smart. But I will NOT let that traitor of a Clown get away with this. I swear REVENGE!” He reached down, scooping up some of the oil that had leaked from Jez when Sasu had stabbed him, and raising his blade into the air, smeared some onto it in the Traditional Revenge-Swearing Ceremony. Then, he lowered his blade and retracted it into his wrist. He marched forth from the cities burned down gates, determined to destroy the Jester. ---- Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 1 ----- 10 years later The blue hooded figure marched into the Ice Wolves Wrath, the most popular tavern in the ghetto-like city of Snoriya, the city located at the foot of the Frizadoom Mountains. Normally he didn’t like to associate with the kind of scum that came to places such as these, but his mission was important. “Hey there, lookin for a good time?” Said a female Android who had obviously drank too much winoil. The figure ignored her, instead heading for a table in the back of the tavern, where the cities toughest android was seated. He was laughing good naturedly with some of the townsfolk and drinking a large amount. Hopefully he would be drunk enough to spill everything he knew. “Mind if I take a seat?” The figure asked the bulky android. The android had thick, spiky blond hair, with golden stereos built into his body. He was massive, and wore heavy gauntlets, along with stylish shades. Obviously he was from the city of Golnos, the richest city on the whole continent. The bulky android looked the figure up and down and gave a smirk. “Alrighty stranger. Take a seat and take a swig.” The figure took a seat. “No thanks. I don’t drink.” He responded. The bulky android shrugged. “So, Master…” The figure said. “Remix. The names Remix.” The bulky robot said. “Very well, Master Remix. I have been asking around, and my trail has led straight to you. I am on an urgent mission, and I need you to tell me everything you know about a warlord by the name of…Jez Kardbom.” The hooded figure said. Several androids in the tavern gasped. A few hurriedly left. But all of them had their gazes fixed on Remix and the figure. Remix stiffened. “You shouldn’t be asking things like that.” He said, glaring at the figure over his sunglasses. “You could wind up hurt. Or worse.” “Despite that, I expect an answer.” The hooded figure replied casually. Remix glared levelly at the hooded figure. “I don’t think I have to tell you anything.” He said coolly. Instantly there was a blade at his throat, coming from the hooded ones arm. “I’m afraid you have no choice.” The figure said, venom in his voice. “Now tell me what you know.” Remix grinned broadly. “You think a pitiful sword like THAT is enough to kill ME?” He laughed, and stood up, his expression turning serious. “Look, you. You’re asking too many questions.” He cracked his knuckles. “And people who ask too much wind up disappointed. First, you get some answers. Then, you get dead.” Without warning, he swung a large fist back and aimed a punch right into the face of the hooded figure. But the instant he did so, The figure ducked aside, his hood falling off, to reveal the red hair that covered half his face. “Well well. Sasu Bladearm.” Remix growled. “The Motley Empire has been hunting you for years. And now, you dare come into one of our cities? Well, guess what bub. You just picked a fight with a Royal General.” Sasu met the angered generals gaze unflinchingly. Then, he shot forward and sliced at Remix, appearing not to have hit. He landed gently behind the large android. Remix burst out laughing. “HA HA HA! Was that a JOKE?” He said. Suddenly the top 4 spikes of hair on his head slid off, falling to the ground. Remix’s jaw hung slightly agape in surprise as he realized what Sasu had just done. He turned to Sasu, his face contorted with rage. “NEVER. TOUCH. THE HAIR!” he screamed, running at Sasu, arms whirling wildly. Sasu back flipped repeatedly to escape getting hit by one of the large fists. Then, he hit the wall feet first, and launching himself forward off the wall, punched the massive android in the face, sending Remix crashing backwards into the tavern counter. Remix got up. The counter was horribly scarred, snapped into pieces by the androids weight. “Alright then. You want a fight? You got yourself a fight.” Remix said. He took a deep breath, and then a huge blast of sound fired from all 4 of the speakers on his upper torso. The sound was horrible, like a thousand nails scratching a chalkboard at once. Sasu’s audio receptors went wild, causing him to stumble around in a daze, unable to tell what he was doing. Remix took the opportunity to lunge forward and deliver a powerful punch to Sasu’s chest. As Sasu plowed into the back wall of the tavern, breaking the wooden walls and landing in the snow outside, the villagers inside the tavern fled as it shook, the support beam damaged by Remix’s sound attack. Calmly Remix walked through the quickly collapsing building and out of the hole created by Sasu. As he stepped out into the sun, the building collapsed. The tavern keeper burst out in tears at seeing his precious tavern fall apart. Remix walked over to the body of Sasu, hoping to take the defeated enemy back to his master. The second he leaned over to pick up the body though, a sword blade embedded itself in his right eye. Sasu’s blade. It had happened so quick, Remix couldn’t process it for a moment. Then he felt the pain, and he let out a loud scream of pain, reeling backward and clutching the hole where his eye had been moments before. Sasu quickly leapt up and sliced his foe on the speakers attached to his body, destroying them and disabling his sound attack. Sasu grabbed Remix by the neck and leaned over. “Now then.” He hissed. “Tell me where your master is, or die.” Remix gave a croaky laugh. “Bite me.” He said. “Wrong answer.” Sasu said. He jammed his sword into Remix’s other eye. Remix’s cries of immense pain were heard throughout the city. Sasu was about to cut the robots throat, killing him, when suddenly something sharp slashed him in the back of the head, cutting it open. He blinked slowly, then fell over into the snow with a soft crunch, unable to keep himself up. He tried to get up, but was unable to move his body. “Don’t try to struggle.” Said a voice. It was a sort of hissing sound mixed with a normal voice. “I’ve disabled the movement center of your brain chip. It will repair itself in a few hours most likely.” There was the sound of snow crunching underfoot, meaning Sasu’s attacker had moved away. “I see you’ve damaged my friend here badly.” He said. “V-Vamos? Is that you?” Remix groaned. “Yes Remix. I’m here to take you back to the Master.” Said the voice, Vamos. There was the sound of something gripping metal, almost like steel talons. “I will be seeing you later, Bladearm.” The voice of Vamos said. There was a flapping of wings, and something took off into the sky. Then all was silent as Sasu blacked out. The last thing he thought before he shut down was Vamos…That is a name I wont soon forget… A few hours later, Sasu awoke. He was laying on a small bed inside a house. He looked around, and saw an elderly android sitting nearby. Sasu, who had been in the city for a few days before fighting Remix, recognized him as the town Blacksmith. “Excuse me, sir. But what am I doing here?” Sasu asked. For a moment the blacksmith said nothing. Then he said, “I found you unconscious on the ground. So, I brought you here and repaired you a bit. I see you got into a scuffle with Remix?” Sasu said nothing. The blacksmith shook his head. “Bad things happen when you mess with the Motley Crew. Best not to interfere.” He said. Instantly Sasu was up. “How can you say that!? The Motley Empire has been conquering land after land and enslaving everyone! How could you say it isn’t worth interfering? Don’t you have any hope? Hope that one day we‘ll be free again?” The blacksmith sighed and said, “Son, I ran out of hope a long time ago.” “Well I haven’t.” Sasu said angrily. “I want to stand up for what’s right. I’m not about to let some stupid Jester take over my world and tell me what to do. But if you want to live in a world where your every movement is controlled and you don’t have a say in anything, then by all means, sit here and wait for them to take over. But me? I’m going to find Kardbom, and I’m going to destroy him.” With that, the young android marched out of the Blacksmiths house, leaving the blacksmith to consider what he had said. |

I has written the next chap: Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 2 ---- Sasu stepped over the border marking the city limits of Snoriya. He hadn’t gotten any answers from Remix like he had hoped, but he decided that since Remix was from Golnos, that would be a good place to start looking for more information. As he stepped over, he heard the rapid clank and crunch of metal feet meeting snow. He turned, blade unsheathed, thinking an enemy was approaching. He arched a metal eyebrow, retracting his blade, as he realized it was merely the blacksmith from before. “Come to try and convince me not to rebel again?” Sasu said scornfully. The Blacksmith glared. “First of all, respect your elders. Second, I came for the complete opposite reason.” He raised his large forge hammer in a salute. “I’m going with you. You were right, Bladearm…” “Wait, how do you know my name?” Sasu asked. “You kiddin? There’s wanted posters of you all over the town!” Blacksmith exclaimed. “As I was saying, you were right. This empire isn’t just gonna go away. If we want it gone, we have to do it ourselves.” He extended a hand. “The names Thalmos, Blacksmith of Snoriya…Of course, you already knew that last part.” Sasu nodded, shaking Thalmos’ hand. “I’d be happy to have you along, Thalmos.” He abruptly turned and started off. He noticed Thalmos hesitate. “Something wrong?” Sasu questioned. “Its just that…Well…You’re walking straight into the Frizadoom mountains.” Thalmos replied. “Is that a problem?” Sasu said. “Yes, kind of. Don’t you know that the Ice Wolves are all over the place up there?” The Blacksmith said exasperatedly. Sasu looked up at the mountain, then turned back to Thalmos and nodded. “It’s the quickest route to Golnos. And at the rate Jez is conquering lands, I’d say we need all the extra time we can get.” Saying nothing more, he pulled up the hood of his cloak, and strode off into the treacherous mountain range. Thalmos sighed and ran after the younger android. ---- Vamos landed in the great hallway of the grand Kardbom Palace. The vampire android retracted his leathery wings, changing to his land-suited form. Quickly he hurried down the hall, headed for the throne room. A few slaves opened the massive doors for the leader of the Motley Crew. Vamos hurried up to the large golden throne, where his master, Jez Kardbom, sat. He got down on one knee and bowed. “Master. I bring news from the West.” He said. “Rise.” Jez said, boredom in his voice. “What do you have to tell me?” Vamos explained the situation in Snoriya, how Sasu had questioned Remix and destroyed a tavern. Jez became more and more interested in Vamos’ tale every time Sasu was mentioned. Soon, the Dark Jester raised a hand to silence his minion. “So, my old ‘friend’ Sasu Bladearm has returned, has he?” He said devilishly. “Well, leader of the Motley Crew? What do you propose we do?” Vamos looked thoughtful. Then he said, “Whatever you tell me we should do, my liege.” Jez burst into maniacal laughter. “Good answer, my second in command.” He said. “Now go. If the Ice Wolves do not finish him, I want you to make sure that someone is in Golnos who WILL.” Vamos bowed and scurried down the hall once more, back to the landing pad made specifically for him. He morphed back into his bat-like form and took to the skies. In his throne room, Jez moved a new chess piece onto his chess bored. It was a knight, wearing a hat like Sasu’s. “This time, old friend…” He said with an evil grin. “YOU’LL be the one defeated.” ----- “You realize this was a bad idea, don’t you?” Thalmos asked for the third time. Sasu silenced his companion with a glare. Just a few feet away from the bush they hid behind, several Ice Wolves prowled silently through the snow covered undergrowth. The layer of protective ice that had formed over their fur after centuries of adapting to the mountains cold glinted like crystals in the sunlight. They sniffed around, they could scent intruders in their mountain. “Keep quiet.” Sasu whispered, putting a finger to his lips. Quickly and quietly, he made a snowball and tossed it into a tree. The wolves, who were busy scenting the snow, didn’t see it. It landed with a thud on one of the evergreen trees, making the sound of something falling out of a tree. All but one of the Ice Wolves ran over to the tree to investigate. But the leader of them looked like he suspected something. Sasu unsheathed his blade as quietly as he could and started to get up. The next second happened in a blur. The Ice Wolf shot forward into the bush, frozen fangs ready to tear out their throats. Sasu jumped over it and grabbed its icy tail, throwing it. It sailed into a tree, shattering the wolves icy layer of fur. Then, so it died painlessly, he slit its throat and dove back into the bushes. Suddenly more wolves jumped into the bushes. Sasu cursed, he had forgotten that the scent of their comrades blood on his blade would attract the wolves. Quickly, Thalmos swung his mighty hammer, hitting a wolf on the forehead with a mighty crack. Its skull was crushed instantly upon contact. Silently, it fell backward in the snow, dead. Sasu drew his blade, slicing the ice layers open and then killing the wolves inside. One of them bit Thalmos on the leg, disconnecting it. Thalmos let out a yell of pain. Wildly swinging his hammer, killing three more wolves. The remaining 3 wolves charged away as quick as they could. Sasu got up, wiping the blood off his cloak, and helped his elderly friend up. “You fought like a true warrior, my friend.” Sasu said. “Aye, I suppose I did.” Thalmos said, voice edged with barely concealed pain. “Don’t worry. I’ll help you the rest of the way.” Sasu said. He picked up Thalmos’ torn off leg and helped him limp slowly down the mountain. As they descended, Sasu noticed something was odd. There was no sound, other than the occasional wind. Every animal was gone. Sasu struggled to remember what that meant, having heard something about it once before. It came back to him, the instant Thalmos shouted “PACK LEADER!” There it was, up ahead. The massive Ice Wolf pack leader, known as a Slayer. Aptly named, there was no record of a Slayer Ice Wolf ever being defeated; they always managed to slay the victims that the Wolves it led failed to. Sasu cursed to himself, this was VERY bad. This was a full grown Bull Slayer. Its had 3 claws on each paw, curved and scythe like. Its normally white fur was black on its head. Its ice layer was thicker than a normal Ice Wolf, and it was MUCH more muscular. But the most striking difference was that it stood on its hind legs, and it was easily 6 and a half feet tall. The Slayer let out a loud roar, and ran at Sasu, claws extended. Sasu gently set Thalmos down, knowing the Ice Wolves wouldn’t disrespect their leader by slaying a wounded victim they had failed to finish off. Sasu met the wolf’s charge, extending his blade. There was a clang of metal against the screech of super sharp nails scratching steel, as he hit the Slayer’s claws with the flat of his sword. The Slayer sliced Sasu with his free claws, sending the Android flying. Sasu landed with a loud crunch in the snow. He was wounded badly, a deep gash running down his side, but he didn’t let this dissuade him. He ran at the wolf once more, jumping up once it claws at him, taking it by surprise. He sliced the head of the layer of ice, nearly cutting it open. The Slayer let out a roar of frustration and, as Sasu fell, grabbed him and smashed his head into a rock. Sasu could barely stay conscious now. He got up, unsheathing his blade, and ran once more, jumping and slicing the head of the ice layer open. Then the Slayer grabbed him and threw him. Sasu hit a tree hard, and fell down, temporarily unable to move. Suddenly he noticed Thalmos. Using his torn off leg as a crutch, he was running at Slayer. “NO!” Sasu cried. Thalmos jumped up, getting sliced in half by the Slayers claws as he reached the Pack Leaders head. His arm, already descending towards the creatures skull as he had been sliced, hit the wolfs skull with a loud, sickening crack. The two halves of the android landed in the snow, along with the body of the dead pack leader. The Ice Wolves whimpered and ran off as quick as they could. Sasu ran to the body of his fallen comrade. The light had gone from Thalmos’ eyes. He was beyond repair. Sasu felt his eyes sting with tears. “He truly was a great warrior.” He said, wiping the oily tears away. He took off the elderly androids cloak and covered his body with it. Then, he strolled off, down the mountain. As much as it sickened him, he had no time to waste on a funeral. First our hometown. Then Thalmos. Sasu thought. How many lives do you need to claim, Kardbom? |

Although no one appears to be reading, here's chap 3: Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 3 ---- Sasu slowly trudged down the mountain. A huge blizzard had begun shortly after he left the body of Thalmos behind. Unfortunately for him, there was no shelter in sight. He shivered and quickened his pace. If he didn’t make it down the mountain quickly, his circuits would freeze, and he’d be offline for good. Up ahead, he could see the golden walls of the Gates of Golnos, the huge gateway that barred entrance to the city. Unfortunately it was a good mile or two off. “I’m never going to make it…” He moaned. Already he could sense the frost forming on his circuits. He stopped and sat down, panting. “Higher Power…Help me…” He said nothing more. His eyes glazed over and he collapsed. There was a slight movement in the trees. Slowly, a being in a white cloak trudged out. He looked at the body of Sasu laying in the snow. He stared for a moment, before slowly making his way over. He leaned over and examined the unconscious android. “Thou who asks for help, shall receive.” He muttered, lifting the android with no effort at all. He headed down the mountain, the cold not affecting him at all. A few Ice Wolves ran out to attack, but upon spotting who it was, whimpered and slowly backed away into the undergrowth. “Good boys.” Said the White figure. Soon he reached the gates of Golnos. It was the middle of the night, unfortunately. He looked around and placed the body of Sasu leaning against the gates. He smirked. “His Majesty certainly built you well.” He said to the unconscious android. “Quick as an Electric Ferret, strong as a Slayer.” He chuckled. “Yes, we will have to keep an eye on you. Until we meet again, Sasu Bladearm.” He walked back up the mountain, disappearing as his cloak camouflaged him. The next day, Sasu awoke to the sounds of Raptorbirds. He got up, to show the winged lizards he was alive. If a Raptorbird could show disappointment, they would have. They gave a hiss of rage and took off into the air once more. “Pesky scaled scavengers.” Sasu muttered. Suddenly he realized he was alive, and even more amazingly, at the Gates. “Incredible.” He said. He wondered what happened. He placed his sword to his heart and said, “Thank you, My Liege.” Far, far away, in a location known only by a select few, a being smiled, glad to hear his master praised. Sasu approached the gates, and raised a hand. “HEY! Anyone up there?” He called. Instantly, a small, gold painted android poked his head over the wall. “What’s your business in our fair city?” He called. “Just visiting!” Sasu shouted in response. The gatekeeper nodded and disappeared. Soon, the huge gates opened, with a loud screech that sent every bird in a half mile flying frantically away. Sasu stepped through the gates, and looked at the great golden city. Here, every android who wasn’t an outsider, was painted gold, or at least had one part of their body painted gold. “This place will be where I get some info.” Sasu vowed. He headed into town. A few people stared at him, and Sasu hoped it was just the fact that he wore the marks of an Androia Guardia, not that they’d seen his face on Wanted posters. Suddenly an android dashed past him frantically, pursued by several trained Flame Hounds. The hounds had fiery red fur and were capable of melting things with their heat breath. Smoke wafted from their nostrils as they snarled, surrounding him. Then, they let loose a jet of flame in unison, melting the helpless android on the spot. “Wow…What’d he do?” Sasu asked a person who was watching. “He asked too many questions about the Motleys. Obviously he was a rebel. Nowadays, rebels are executed here.” Sasu frowned, that definitely wasn’t good news. “The Motleys, after they took over our city, they brought in the trained Flame Hounds. The things are absolutely horrid, yet at the same time, effective.” Continued the android. “In my opinion, the Flame Hounds shouldn’t be here, though. This city doesn’t NEED Enforcers.” “I beg to differ.” Muttered Sasu. It needed enforcers all right. Enforcers to protect the city from the Motleys. Sasu said, “Thanks for letting me know.” and headed off. Meanwhile, overhead, on a rooftop, another android watched Sasu walk off through binoculars. “Hehe. This should be easy.” He raised a wheeled boot, and leapt off the roof into the street below, landing behind Sasu with a loud clunk. “Flame Hounds! Burn him!” Ordered the android. Instantly the Flame Hounds, who had been heading off to find more people to burn, wheeled around and parted their jaws in a vicious roar of glee. There was nothing a Flame Hound loved more than a hunt. Sasu had no time to question who was sending the hounds after him, as they were already chasing him. With a loud curse, Sasu tore down the road, trying in vain to outrun the hounds. The figure laughed. “Run, Sasu Bladearm! You cannot escape Dash Dartfire, the Quickest General in the Motley Crew!” Dash shot after them, his wheeled boots propelling him along quickly. Sasu twisted his head to see the mysterious android following along behind the Hounds. He made a note of his appearance, light brown hair, a blue-green cloak, and the oddest part of all, wheeled boots that allowed him to keep up with the speedy hounds. Suddenly the figure raised a hand. A small piece of metal in his palm whirred and moved aside, to reveal a hollow tunnel going through his palm. There was a clicking noise, and suddenly a large dart fired out of his palm. Quickly, Sasu ducked, and the dart whizzed over his head, embedding itself in a small bird. The bird gave a squawk of surprise, and passed out. Stun darts. Sasu thought. That’s definitely NOT good. “Run run run, as fast as you can!” Called the Android. “Dash Dartfire’s on your trail! And THIS Motley General is takin’ you DOWN!” “A general!?” Sasu growled to himself. He knew he was doomed. He couldn’t take on 5 Flame Hounds and a Motley Crew member. He needed some sort of projectile to do that…And the second he thought that, he felt a strange sensation. A whirring noise coming from his right palm. Slowly a small section in the palm retracted, revealing a hollow tunnel like Dash’s. A projectile weapon!? Sasu thought in amazement. He wondered what kind of projectile it was. “Well, there’s no better time to find out.” He said. He raised his palm, and turning around, forced something out of the palm. With the sound of a gun firing, a large metal spike flew out, aimed right at one of the hounds heads. With a yelp of pain, the hound collapsed as the spike hit its brain. A slow trickle of lava started to flow out, like blood, and its rocky fur began crumbling. “NO! MY HOUND!” Cried Dash. He fired three more darts, with a cry of, “YOU’LL PAY!” Sasu fired three more spikes. The 6 projectiles collided, knocking each other out of the air. Sasu drew his blade and dove forward, slicing the head off a Flame Hound. He propelled himself off the hounds body and past Dash, and he ran down the street. The remaining four hounds and Dash quickly turned around and followed. Sasu led them through the streets on a wild chase that left many of the towns citizens gaping in awe. At each dead end, Sasu killed a hound and went the opposite way, until finally it was just him and Dash left over. “Bladearm!” Growled Dash. “This is your final resting place. In the name of his majesty, the Dark Jester, I shall send you to Hells forges!” “Bring it!” Sasu said. The two warriors charged at each other, and punched each other as hard as they could in the jaw. The force of the blows knocked both of them backwards, and left them panting, since they had already been tired out by the chase. “Die!” Dash half cried, half panted, charging again. Sasu braced himself, drawing his sword. He hoped this would be easier than his fight with Remix. |

Oh, goody.
I thought it was pretty good too...But thats because I've shown this story to a ton of people and they all said it was rly good. Here's Chapter 4, the longest I've written so far. Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 4 ---- Section 1 The City of Golnos Sasu ducked as a dart sailed through the air towards him. He somersaulted away from it, then stooping on one knee, fired several spikes towards Dash. Dash countered by firing just as many darts. Once again, the projectiles collided in midair, falling to the ground uselessly. Sasu drew his blade and ran at Dash, dodging the darts. “Blast it!” Swore Dash. Sasu swung his blade upward, slicing Dash’s face. The Android clutched his slightly ripped open face and stumbled backwards. Sasu swung the blade towards Dartfire’s neck, which would finish him forever, but Dash took Sasu by surprise, grabbing his arm just as the blades tip reached his neck. Dash swung Sasu over his head without very much effort, slamming the former Androia Guardia into the pavement. Sasu slowly got up, only to have his hair grabbed and his face slammed repeatedly into the pavement. Sasu lost his temper, and swinging his blade as hard as he could, managed to his Dash in the arm. “YAH!” Dash cried out in a mixture of pain and surprise. Sasu took the chance and stabbed Dash through the chest, missing his metal heart by mere inches. Dash panted and wheezed now, looking defeated. Suddenly he fired a single dart, which embedded itself in one of Sasu’s knees. Instantly the limb went limp and became unusable. Sasu cursed, now he could barely move at all. Limping as fast as he could, he tried to slice Dash with his sword. But the enemy android used his skate boots to get behind him, and kick him hard in the back of the head. Dash laughed sinisterly. “You were a fool to think you could defeat the Motley Empire.” He boasted. “The Dark Jester and his famed Generals are UNBEATABLE!” Sasu got up, panting. He managed to stand. “I don’t care what you say, you useless piece of scrap metal!” He shouted. Slowly he limped towards Dash. Dash yawned, and sticking a single finger out, flicked Sasu in the face, knocking him over. Sasu glared, and let out a bloodthirsty roar of rage that took Dartfire by surprise. Sasu swung his blade, cutting off Dash’s legs. The Androids upper half hovered there for a minute, as if unable to comprehend what had just happened. Then with a loud crash it hit the pavement. Sasu got up, using his sword as a crutch, and limped over to Dash. “Now. Tell me, where can I find your boss?” Dash smirked. “His lair is hidden. But, honor says that since I’ve been beaten, I have to tell you at least ONE piece of information. The Fortress is called Court Jester.” “Real creative.” Growled Sasu. Dash laughed. Suddenly a bird flew down out of nowhere. It was giant, almost the size of a small house. It was jet black with blood red eyes. Huge fangs jutted out of its lower jaw. It had a large scorpion stinger for a tail, and also Scorpion claw arms. It was one of the most rare and deadly beasts ever discovered; The Saber Doombird. Surprisingly gently for such a monstrosity, it gathered up Dash, shrieked in Sasu’s face, and took off. Dash’s laughter echoed as he flew off on the back of the bird. Sasu cursed and stomped his good foot angrily. ----- Section 2 Court Jester The Saber Doombird let out a loud screech, announcing its arrival. Instantly, several slaves ran out to the docking perches, where the Doombird’s landed upon arrival. It landed on one of the large steel perches, dipping its head to allow Dash to be removed from its backside. One of the slaves, a young android named Flitora, started letting out shrill screeches in front of the Doombird, who listened. Flitora was used to gather reports from creatures, as he spoke their language. “What news from the battlefield, Mighty-wings?” Asked Flitora in the native language of Doombirds. The Doombird spread its mighty wings and said, “A tale of failure, it is, Nivilon.” It said. Flitora rolled his eyes. Nivilon meant No-winged Flyer in the language of birds, and according to the birds, a Nivilon had a very important role in the destiny of the world. But Flitora, finding himself to just be an insignificant slave, doubted this very much. “Go on, oh Bloodied-beak.” Flitora said. He smirked to himself. Names such as Mighty-wings and Bloodied-beak were compliments in aerospeak, and Doombird’s love compliments. The Doombird shuffled embarrassedly at the comment, then continued. “Master Dartfire bested in battle by another Android. Android name Sasu. Now Master Dartfire in badpain.” Flitora frowned. Sasu…That name was somewhat familiar to him. He shrugged it off and nodded. “Master Kardbom will be pleased to know this. May you always find prey when needed.” He raised an arm in the Doombird was of saying goodbye and set off. He knew what he had said would be the exact opposite of Jez’s reaction…The Warlord would be furious. He headed into his masters chambers, and said, “Sir, we’ve gotten the report from Deathchoker.” Flitora said nervously. “I’m afraid its-” “Not good news.” Said Kardbom. “I know.” A look of surprise flitted across Flitora’s face. “You do, sir?” He said. “Indeed. My Chessboard.” Jez replied, pointing at the large chessboard in front of him. Two of the 4 general Knight pieces were lying on their sides. The two were obviously Dash and Remix’s pieces. “Tell Vamos that if the Crew fails once more, it will be HIM who suffers.” Jez said coldly. Flitora nodded and took off. Something weird was going on. How had Jez come by the chessboard? When he had begun founding his Empire, he hadn’t had such a thing. But now…Flitora continued to ponder as he ran off to find the Vampire General. Jez watched as the little slave fled. As the huge doors slammed shut, he laughed. “No doubt he wants to know where I got this board.” He said deviously. “All in good time.” He said. A Pawn piece suddenly appeared on the board. It wore a sky blue cap like Flitora. Jez started, staring in surprise. “Hm…So, he’s become an important piece of Fate, has he?” He looked around his massive throne room thoughtfully, suddenly wondering what his future held. --------- Section 3 Sonlog Forest “Well THAT was a big waste of time.” Growled Sasu. He had gotten his leg repaired, and was now marching angrily towards the border, headed for the Sonlog Forest. The forest’s name wasn’t very creative, its name was simply Golnos spelled backwards, in honor of the fact that it was so close to the city. He stepped over the border, and instantly found himself regretting it. There was a loud scream from inside the woods. He wondered what it was, the scream had actually frightened him. Thinking perhaps it was another android in peril, he charged in. Soon, he reached a clearing, where a female android lay on her side, unmoving. Sasu gasped and ran over. He bent over and shook her gently, to check if she was dead. Suddenly the body twisted around and clawed his face. He quickly realized it wasn’t an Android at all, but instead a Faker. A Faker is a strange creature, capable of taking on the form of something else. It never uses its true form, but its recognizable by the fact that, no matter what it becomes, it always has sharp spikes used for impaling foes on its arms. “Crap!” Sasu said, dodging the slashes the Faker made in an attempt to impale him, all the while scolding himself in his head. He drew his sword and sliced it clean in half. The monster, in its dying breath, resumed its hideous original form. It was a green, pulsing blob with one large eye, pimples with pus leaking from it all over its body, and a series of short spikes that it used to crawl around. “No wonder they don’t turn back to their original form until they die.” Sasu said with disgust. “Its true what they say…Fakers are the lowest of all creatures.” Suddenly there was some cheering. A bunch of Androids swarmed him. “Thank you, heroic stranger!” Cried the eldest of them, obviously their leader. “The terrible Faker has been terrorizing us for many months now, claiming the lives of many of us.” He grasped Sasu’s hand and shook it happily. Sasu blinked, this had happened so fast, he had hardly any idea of what was going on. “Come, come!” Cried the leader. “Come with us, back to our forest village!” Whether he liked it or not, Sasu was going. They grabbed his arm tightly and led him off. After a little while of walking, they entered a clearing. Sasu stared in amazement. Their were houses built on top of trees, houses built in hollow trees, some built on regular ground, some built on branches. They littered the clearing, androids wandering around tirelessly, each doing some small chore of some sort. “Welcome to the Forest Camp!” Their leader said. “I am the Chief of the Forest Camp, Daxicus. And, who might you be?” “I’m Sasu Bladearm.” Sasu said. He looked around. “Amazing. I didn’t think anyone could live out here.” Daxicus chuckled. “Neither did the citizens of Golnos, but we proved them wrong. Of course, they think we all died on the first day out here. So, my friend. What brings you to the woods?” Sasu explained. He told of the destruction of his city, the founding of the Motley Empire, the battles at Snoriya and Golnos. When he was done, Daxicus said, “I didn’t understand much of that, boy…Its been so long since we set foot outside the forest. But I know who might.” Without another word, he grabbed Sasu and dragged him up a small slope, into a house. Inside sat an elderly female android, who looked up from the book she was reading to regard her visitors with displeasure. “Cant you learn to tell me when you’re coming in, Daxicus?” She said angrily. Daxicus sighed. “Sorry. Sasu, this is Tetran. She’s the eldest of us all, and wisest too. She knows much more then she lets out…Perhaps she knows everything. But she is the one to tell your problem to.” He gave Sasu a reassuring pat on the back and left. “So. What is it you need?” Tetran asked. Sasu explained his whole story once more. Afterward, Tetran said nothing. Then finally, she said, “I can tell you this.” She inhaled, and said; Doom hangs ahead. Empires, Undead, and Creation alike await. The Warriors, He who should not live, the Bladed arm, and the Non-Winged Flyer Come together to save us all. Tetran exhaled. “That is all I can tell you. You will see things that would drive a normal being Mad, Sasu Bladearm. You will face impossible odds. But never, never give up hope, or all is lost.” She waved a dismissive hand. “Now go. You have an Empire to crush.” Sasu was startled by the sudden dismissal, but nodded and exited the house. “What did she say?” Daxicus asked. “It was a Foretelling.” Sasu said. Daxicus looked surprised. “A Foretelling you say? She’s never done that before…” “I must leave immediately.” Sasu said. “Really? That’s too bad.” Daxicus said. “But you are a friend of the Forestfolk now, so return whenever you like.” Sasu nodded, and set off. ----- Unknown to Sasu and Tetran, two figure stood just behind the house, camouflaged by their cloaks. Both were silent until Sasu had left. “Are you certain that was wise?” One of them said. “Letting him know what lies ahead?” “Its better he not wander through the darkness.” The other said. “He should know of the burden he carries. If he hadn’t been told, he would never have known what his fate held, and discovering it as he went along would make it all the more hard to take.” “I suppose…” The first said with uncertainty. As silent as thought possible, they departed. |

Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 5 ----- Sonlog Forest Sasu was running as fast as his legs would carry him. Behind him trailed 3 Flame Hounds, that had come from who knew where. The instant he had left the Forestfolk village, they rushed at him from the bushes. Sasu glanced back. Their hardened magma fangs were poking out of their mouths, ready to tear every piece of metal off of the Androids body. Sasu had no idea what he was going to do. He gasped in fright; up ahead was one of the many cliffs that dotted the edge of the forest, leading straight down to the sea below. He cursed, there wasn’t any other way to go. Sasu, thinking quickly, jumped off the edge. The hounds, too stupid to realize what was going on, plummeted as well. With three loud splashes, they sunk to the deep bottom of the sea. But among them wasn’t Sasu. For the clever android hung from the ledge, far above. He had impaled his sword in the cliff edge as he fell, stopping him short. Now, he hung, watching the hounds sink with a triumphant smirk. He placed his boots on the wall, and pushed as hard as he could. His sword came loose, and he propelled himself up, off the wall. He landed on the cliff once more, safe from harm. “Phew.” He said, tiredly. Watching the last hound sink to its doom, he headed off. ------ Court Jester All was not well in the fortress called Court Jester. The slaves had been discussing betrayal, plotting against Jez. ‘Do or die‘, they said. ‘Death is certainly better then what we endure here, in slavery.’ Despite the fact that he was intimidated by Jez, Flitora was forced to agree. After all, what they said made sense. He was to approach all the flying steeds of Kardbom’s army, and get them to agree to aid the slaves. After all, the birds were enslaved as they were, unable to come and go as they pleased. Flitora’s first stop was the perch of Deathchoker, the Doombird who had brought Dash back to the fortress. Flitora approached, Deathchoker eyeing him warily. “Greetings, my friend.” Said Flitora to the bird. “I come to you with an urgent request…Master Kardbom treats us, the slaves and the birds, terribly. The other slaves and I have come to the conclusion that he must be…eliminated.” Deathchoker’s eyes widened with surprise. He wasn’t silent for a minute, then said, “You ask a great deal, Nivilon. But what you say makes sense. He treats us, the noble Skyfighters, like we are scraps of carrion. I will join you on your quest, whether the others do or not. I will try and get more to join our numbers.” Flitora was surprised. He hadn’t expected the Doombird to accept so quickly. He gave a nod and bade the bird a quick farewell, before scurrying off to tell his friends the good news. Perhaps they stood a better chance then he had originally thought. ------- Sonlog Forest, the Swamp of Sardix Sasu stepped warily over a vine, eyeing with caution. In the Swamp of Sardix, appearances were deceiving. Its creatures were designed specifically for camouflage. Legends constructed by the superstitious surrounded the place. One legend was that, the person who the swamp was named after, Sardix the Treacherous, had gone mad inside the Swamp, where he had been hording all the riches he had stolen from the Leader of his Androia Guardia sector, and now was a Halfed, still wandering the swamps. Sasu however, knew this was ridiculous. Halfed, creatures trapped in between Life and Death, were myths. No one had ever seen one…As far as anyone knew, at least. Besides, there was no scientific proof that those who died within the swamp became a Halfed. “Despite that.” Sasu muttered to himself. “I must be ready for anything. Any creature, whether it be a Vine Screech, a Thornshooter, or even a vile Muckmeister, could come from anywhere at any moment.” True to his word, he took two more steps, and found his leg in the grip of a Swamp Octle. Swamp Octle’s were hideous beings, octopus’ made up of decayed flesh and plants, their many arms were vines coated with a sticky sap called Octlesweat, because, Swamp Octle’s sweated it. It was incredibly sticky, and hard to get free of. “Let go, blast it…!” Sasu shouted at the Octle, who’s head was protruding from the swamp muck to see what it had snagged. Eagerly, it began to pull Sasu toward it. Sasu drew his sword and hacked away at the arm. The Octle shrieked with pain, but kept pulling, determined to keep its meal. With one final whack, the limb split, and Sasu was free…Somewhat. Half of the vine still stuck to his leg, and unfortunately he’d probably have to wait for the limb to decay before he could remove it. The Octle swelled up with rage, and threw its arms toward Sasu, in a desperate struggle to get a hold on the android once more. Sasu swung at the vines, chasing them away temporarily. But they always returned. Sasu knew the only way to get rid of an Octle was to kill the head. Until then, it would keep trying to snag you, until it tired out or died, and unfortunately they didn’t tire out easily. Sasu ducked under a vine and ran for the head. The Octle began to catch on, and desperately tried to grab Sasu. But Sasu just knocked the vines away with his sword. The Octle let out a fearful cry as Sasu reached it, and swung his sword down towards its head. With an eerie squishing noise, the sound of decayed flesh meeting metal, the Octle flopped over, dead. Its vines became motionless. The muck slowly began to swallow up its body. Finally, with a loud POP, it sunk beneath the mud, never to be seen again. Satisfied, Sasu continued on. ------ It had been what seemed like hours. Sasu had barely seen any light at all, because in the swamp, the treetops were so thick that they blocked out the sun. “How deep is this accursed swamp?” The android complained to thin air. “There’s no way to tell.” Said A voice. “But rest assured, there is an exit…You just have to find it…” Sasu swung around, and cringed. Behind him stood an android, who looked almost ageless…If it wasn’t for the rust coating most of his body. One of his eyes was missing, probably gouged out by something, according to the dents on the area around his eyes. His voice was hard to listen to, it was creaky and screechy, probably because his throat had begun to rust. “Who in the name of the Higher Power are you?” Sasu demanded. The Android gave a loud, wheezy laugh, like a mix between a cough and a laugh. “My name is…Xidras. I have lived in the Swamp for…Ages. I’ve lost count.” He said. “I don’t normally show myself…But you sir, you seem to radiate importance. So naturally, I felt I must come and aid you…You are lost, no?” Sasu hesitated. There was something about the aged android he didn’t trust. But he was lost, and he needed to get out. Eventually, he nodded. “Well then, young master…I’ll help you leave…” Xidras said. He walked forward a few steps, then turned and motioned for Sasu to follow. Sasu followed, suddenly wondering if this had been a wise decision… ----- Court Jester “So its settled?” The leader of the slave rebels, Reberos, asked Flitora. Flitora gave a short nod. “Excellent. A Doombird on our side!” Exclaimed Reberos happily. “Perhaps we do actually stand a chance! If we get even more birds on our side, then we can destroy the empire in one fell swoop!” The assembled slaves cheered, but there was a bit of uncertainty hidden within it. Jez had conquered most of the continent in such a short time…Surely it would not be THAT simple? Flitora was having the same thoughts. Even with the extremely power birds, it would prove to be a very difficult, perhaps impossible, task. Whether it was a good idea or not, a war had been forged, between the Slaves of Court Jester and the Motley Empire itself. Flitora swallowed nervously, he could sense that he was in for one wild ride… |

Here is the sixth chappie. Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 6 ----- The Swamp of Sardix Sasu panted. Xidras had been leading him around for HOURS! Worse yet, he showed no signs of stopping. “Are we there yet?” Moaned Sasu. “If we were there, would I still be walking?” Asked Xidras. That ended the conversation. But soon, they stopped. “Are we there!?” Sasu demanded. “Nope.” Xidras replied calmly. “Then why did we stop?” Sasu nearly screamed. “That’s why.” Xidras said, pointing into the dirty swamp water. At first Sasu didn’t see anything. But then he noticed a bulging lump of muck, half submerged under the water. It had tiny yellow eyes within big, deep eye sockets, and a gaping mouth filled with row upon row of tiny, sharp teeth. And even creepier, it was made entirely of Swamp mud, giving it its name… “A Muckmeister. Great.” Sasu moaned. Xidras nodded. “Yup. That’s a Muckmeister all right. The worst creature in the entire Swamp.” “And that doesn’t bother you!?” Sasu said, incredulously. Xidras shook his head. “Nope. Not at all.” Sasu frowned. “Fine. I don’t think its spotted us, so maybe if we just get going-” He took a step forward. “DON’T MOVE!” Bellowed Xidras, stopping Sasu mid-step. “QUIET! You’ll let it know we’re here!” Sasu said. Xidras shook his head. “No. Its deaf. The only way a Muckmeister can tell if something’s there is from the vibrations that feet against mud makes. And you, my friend, were just about to step into a whole lot of mud. Sasu looked around. It was true, the whole place was covered in mud. “Then how come it doesn’t know we’re standing here?” Sasu asked. Xidras sighed and pointed down. Sasu looked. They were standing on a log. He’d been so worried about getting out, that he hadn’t noticed they’d stepped onto one. Sasu groaned at his ignorance. “Only way to get by it is to kill it.” Xidras said, boredom in his voice. “Go on then, young ‘un. Show it what you’re made of.” He made a dismissive gesture. Sasu shook with rage. How dare this lazy android make him go through all this. He wanted to lift him up and throw him right into the maw of the Muckmeister. But if he did that, he probably would have even less chance of escaping the swamp alive. Sighing, Sasu decided to attract its attention. He picked up a large stick and threw it into the mud. Instantly, the Muckmeister, 4 and a half feet tall when standing upright, leapt out of the swamp and onto the stick, swallowing it whole. Sasu took the chance. He jumped off the log towards the muddy monstrosity, sword in the air, ready to hack it to bits. Since he was airborne, the Muckmeister had no idea Sasu was upon him, until he felt the pain of a sword in his armpit. It raised its large, flabby arms to see what had embedded itself, and was surprised to see an Android with a sword stuck into the monster. The Muckmeister let out a roar of pain and slashed its other arm down at Sasu. The young Android managed to pull his sword free, and he somersaulted out of the way just in time. The monsters mighty claws sank into the swamp mud with a squish. The Muckmeister roared in frustration and swung its other arm, like a club, towards the android who dared attack it. Sasu jumped up, landing on its arm. Quickly, he ran along its squishy arms, and up to its head. He stuck his sword through the back of its head, hoping to hit its brain. Then he remembered…Muckmeister’s didn’t HAVE brains. They had a heart, and somehow a one-track mind, but not a brain to be found. Sasu cursed. “I didn’t kill it…But at least I blinded it.” He said. His sword had come out through the beasts left eye. He jumped down off of the monster, and watched it clutch its eye, roaring in a mixture of frustration, pain, and anger. “Take this!” Sasu yelled. He charged the muddy beast, aiming for its chest. He could see the throb of its heart through the mud, so he knew exactly where to aim. He swung his sword, and it went right down into the monsters chest. The Muckmeister stopped roaring and looked down. It didn’t understand what had just happened, but it knew something was wrong. Sasu’s eyes met the Muckmeister’s tiny ones. In them, Sasu saw nothing, just mindless, animal instinct. He slowly retracted his sword from the mud beasts chest. The Muckmeister stared for several more moments, then its eyes glazed over, and its body literally fell apart. The arms fell off, the eyes fell into the water with a plop, and the rest of its body just turned to a pile of mud. Slowly the mud all moved away, to reveal a bloodied, pink object. The heart of the beast, it was tiny, the size of a pearl, and it gleamed like one. Sasu knew he had forever silenced the beast. “Excellent.” He said, proudly. “I’m one of the first to slay a Muckmeister.” It was true. Like Slayer Wolves, Muckmeister’s were nigh impossible to defeat. And yet, young Sasu Bladearm had done it. He sheathed his sword, and heard the sound of slow, quiet clapping. He turned to see Xidras, a look of smug amusement on his rusted face. But his eye showed some other emotion. It gleamed with what appeared to be…Disappointment. ------ Court Jester Flitora hurried down a hallway. It was urgent he reach his destination before things got out of hand. The Slaves were doing small acts of rebellion, against Reberos’ wishes. These acts included small things like slacking off or refusing to do chores. But even these were infuriating Jez Kardbom, and Flitora was worried he might begin to suspect something. He had to hurry and let Reberos know, before the Slaves launched an attack without his knowing. He neared the Slave Compound, when suddenly something hit him in the back. He tripped, and skidded on the floor. He looked up and stifled a gasp. His attacker was Vamos, the leader of the Motley Crew. He was flanked by a repaired Remix and Dash, both sneering at him. Vamos’ face was expressionless, his eyes cold as ice. “It has come to my attention, little Flitora…” He said softly, apparently trying to lure Flitora into a false sense of security. “…That the Slaves are planning a rebellion.” Flitora’s body went numb with fear. “How do I know, you ask?” Vamos continued. “Well, one of the Giant Bats told me. Being designed to look like a bat, I am quite fluent in Batspeak. It seems that a certain Slave had told a Doombird get as many Flyers as it could to join in a Rebellion, against his lordship.” Flitora could barely suppress a cry of anguish. He knew he would be discovered, and now he was going to die. “Luckily for you, though, Master Kardbom doesn’t care. “They’re just slaves”, He says.” Growled Vamos. “”Let them Rebel. We’ll crush them without any effort.” And while it may not be of concern, I am here to make you a messenger. Tell your foolish comrades to give up hope…Or suffer a long, painful death.” Dash snickered, and Remix rubbed his hands together eagerly. “Come, Generals.” Vamos said, turning to go. He headed down the hall, Remix turning to follow. Dash turned as well, but not before saying, “Later, loser.” To Flitora. The three generals disappeared through a doorway, and Flitora got up, shaking with nerves. He had been so close to death. But now, he had Jez Kardbom to thank for survival. Because of his overconfidence, Vamos was not permitted to kill him. The very idea of owing gratitude to Kardbom sickened him. Now Flitora had even more news to tell Reberos. Things had just gotten more complicated. Quick as his legs could carry him, he scurried into the Slave Compound, colliding with Reberos as he went in. “Flitora?” Reberos said in surprise as he stumbled backward. “What is the meaning of this?” “Sir, please, I have VERY urgent news.” Flitora said. “You’d better tell me, then.” Reberos said, grimly. He could tell this wasn’t good. As fast as he could, Flitora explained the whole situation with the attacks, and then with Vamos. “So. The second most powerful person in the Empire knows of our plans.” Reberos said. “Then, we may be in trouble. If he attempts to destroy us before we manage to strike, we’re doomed.” He slammed a fist on the wall. “We MUST be first to strike. If we aren’t, then we’ll lose many of our number. And that cant happen.” He now wore a grim look of determination. “Get ready. Within the next few days…We strike.” |

Now for chappie 7... Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 7 ----- The Swamp of Sardix “Excellent work, my boy.” said Xidras to Sasu for the fifth time. “I didn’t think you’d be able to do it…” He frowned after saying that. Now more than ever, Sasu found himself questioning the other android’s intentions. Suddenly he saw the exit of the swamp up ahead, leading out to the plains. He started to rush toward the exit, and suddenly Xidras grabbed him. “What now, more beasts?” Groaned Sasu. “No. The way is safe.” Xidras said. “Then why stop me?” Asked Sasu curiously. “Because, you fool, I need money. Money makes the world go round!” Hissed Xidras. “Why would you need money?” Sasu demanded. “There isn’t a store around the swamp for hundreds of miles!” The other android laughed. This time it wasn’t wheezy with rust…It was loud, with madness in it. “You don’t get it, do you!?” Said Xidras, drawing a cutlass that Sasu had never noticed he had. “Sardix needs money! I need to be wealthy as possible!” Xidras laughed. Sasu realized something. It was impossible for a living Android to become that rusted…Especially in the swamp, because many plants contained oils that could get rid of rust! But if he hadn’t been able to use it, that meant he was a…“Halfed.” Sasu said in a shocked whisper. He remembered his younger days. He had been reading a book, about the tale of Sardix. There had been a picture, and only now did he realize just how much Xidras looked like the picture. Suddenly, he realized what a fool he had been. Xidras wasn’t a hermit, living in the swamp…He was the maddened, Halfed form of the ancient Sardix. Xidras…Or rather, Sardix…Noticed the look of realization on Sasu’s face. “That’s right.” He hissed. “My name is Sardix…And I will take your money, then keep your remains as a trophy!” Sasu pulled himself free of the ancient androids grip, and unsheathed his sword. “You messed with the wrong Android, Sardix! Today is the day that you finally go to Hells Forges!” ----- Court Jester Flitora watched as the other slave androids scurried around, making battle preparations. The inventive ones had fashioned makeshift weapons like launchers and swords, armor, and not to mention shields. They were pretty weak, but it was all they had. Flitora had picked one of the Rapiers they had made. He had no idea how to use it, but figured that all he really had to do was swing it at people. Most of the slaves were now suited with armor and practicing using their weapons. Reberos beamed proudly at the slaves. “It makes me proud to see my Rebellion becoming so skilled in the art of fighting.” He said to Flitora. Suddenly he looked less confident. “But I still don’t think it will be enough.” Flitora nodded solemnly. He too had his doubts. But despite that, they had to try. “They’ll fight to the death, Reberos.” He told the leader of the Rebellion. “We all will. All we can do is try our best…And pray that the Higher Power smiles on us.” Reberos laughed heartily. “I’ve never known you, timid little Flitora, to sound so profound.” Flitora gave a weak smile. Reberos shouted to the Slaves, “All Rebels, gather!” Instantly ever Slave in the compound dashed over and gathered around. “A New Age is about to begin!” He said proudly. “An age where the Motley Empire doesn’t exist! And we, the proud rebel warriors, are to be its heralds!” The gathered androids let out a huge cheer. “Be prepared, my friends! Tomorrow, we strike!” Boomed Reberos to his Warriors. “For freedom!” He shouted. “FOR FREEDOM!” They cried as one, raising their weapons over their heads in a salute. Despite the excitement, Flitora could sense the tension in the compound. It was so thick, it could be cut with a knife. ---- Swamp of Sardix The sound of metal meeting metal echoed through the swamp, as two great warriors, the ancient Sardix, and Sasu Bladearm, parried each others blows. “Surrender, fool!” Hissed Sardix. “You will die here anyway, so why bother fighting back at all?” “You’re wrong, you maddened rust bucket!” Sasu said. “I wont be the one going to the afterlife today!” “We’ll just see about that!” Shrieked Sardix, lunging at Sasu, cutlass extended. Sasu performed a risky move, bending backwards as if playing limbo, and the sword cut through the air a few inches above his face. Then, before Sardix could react, he flip kicked the maddened being in the hand, causing him to drop his cutlass and stumble backwards. Sardix turned his maddened eye on Sasu, letting out an enraged, primal scream. He leapt at Sasu, trying to get his rusted hands on his neck. Sasu jumped to the side, and slashed at Sardix with his sword, cutting off a finger. Sardix let out another primal scream and stared at his now four fingered hand. “DIE, PEST!” He screamed. He made a mad dash for his cutlass. Sasu knew that he mustn’t let Sardix get the weapon back, or he’d risk losing the fight. Sasu jumped up, grabbed a vine, and swung towards the running Sardix. “GERONIMO!” He shouted, letting go of the vine and dropping down on the Halfed, landing with a crash on his back. Sardix crumpled to the ground, landing face first in the mud. “That should take care of you.” Sasu said. “Now, I’m going to send you where you should already be!” Sardix screamed, clawing desperately at the mud, trying to pull himself out from under Sasu. Suddenly, he managed to grab the hilt of his cutlass. Quickly, he pulled it from the mud and stabbed it into Sasu’s arm. Sasu recoiled, crying out in pain. Sardix quickly got up and punched his foe in the face, sending Sasu toppling into the mud. Sasu lay motionless there. Sardix laughed. “See?! I told you your time had come!” He walked over to the dead body and reached for the back of money in the pockets of Sasu’s cloak. Suddenly he felt unbearable pain in his arm, and turned to see what it was. His mouth parted in a silent scream as he realized Sasu wasn’t dead…And he had just sliced off Sardix’s arm. Sasu got up and grabbed Sardix by the throat. “You were saying?” He said, pure hatred lining his tone. He raised his sword arm, releasing his grip on Sardix’s throat, and thrust forward, into his neck. Sardix’s limbs fell limp, and he crumpled to the ground. Sasu glared at the body, and got up out of the mud. Then, without a backward glance, walked out of the swamp, into the plains beyond. ----- Court Jester Jez Kardbom sat on his throne, frowning angrily. He had ordered a slave to bring him a glass of Winoil hours ago, and his thirst was still not quenched. “WHERE IS MY DRINK?” He screamed. Suddenly the castle shook, and there were screams. Suddenly the doors parted, and a chef ran in. “Sir, sir! I’m sorry to barge in, but the kitchens have been destroyed! Blown apart by bombs, I tell you! All the other chefs are dead!” Jez’s eyes widened. “IMPOSSIBLE! Who could have…?” Suddenly he remembered what Vamos had been telling him about the possibility of a Slave Rebellion. Now he realized just how catastrophic this could be, if left untended. An expression of enormous rage appeared on his face. “Get me my tarot cards.” He demanded to the chef. The chef nodded and hurried out. ---- Flitora watched in amazement as the kitchens went up in smoke, from the safety of the Slave Compound. “How did you manage to make bombs?” He asked the inventors in amazement. “Well, first we-” Began one. He never got to finish the sentence. They watched with fear filled eyes as Vamos’ soldiers, the Vampire Androids of Necrofel, the city of Vampires, took to the skies, leaving their barracks and flying towards the Slave Compound. Obviously this was Vamos’ work. “Quickly! Mount the birds!” Cried Reberos. The slaves scurried over to an assortment of birds, from Talhawks to Giant Raptorbirds, and even rare Bafalocs, and they climbed onto the birds. The birds then took to the air, flying towards the Vampire androids. The two aerial armies collided, and the sounds of war could be heard. Everyone in the compound was watching the skies in awe, except for Flitora. His metal heart nearly stopped as he noticed a lone figure emerging from the palace. A figure who everyone in the palace knew, and hated. Jez Kardbom himself had come to fight. |

You are partly correct, my friend. Bladearm: The Dark Jester Strikes Chapter 8 ----- Court Jester Flitora’s mouth hung agape in a silent scream. This was a disaster. The Dark Jester himself wasn’t supposed to have come! Now, with his presence, certain death lay ahead. No one else had noticed, every eye in the compound was focused on the Aerial Battle. Flitora ran over to Reberos, and began to say something to him, babbling in panic. “Slow down, Flitora!” Reberos said. “What are you trying to tell me?” Flitora opened his mouth and screamed out a single word in panic; “KARDBOM!” Instantly everyone turned to stare below the sky battle, and their eyes widened with horror as they saw the Dark Jester preparing to throw his exploding tarots towards the airborne slaves. ----- Jez Kardbom watched, enraged, as his vampire warriors fought a fierce battle versus the slaves. How dare they betray him? The idiotic slaves should have known their place, and chosen not to fight back! Now they were going to pay for their insolence. He swung his arm back and tossed the cards, like boomerangs, into the sky. They flew through the air, whistling slightly like missiles, and then the collided with a slaves mount. The cards exploded instantly. The multiple explosions on the birds underside caused excruciating pain and very bad burns. It died on the spot, falling to the ground. The slave mounted on back broke his neck, dead as well. Kardbom tossed wave after wave of cards, and slowly the slaves small army began thinning. He smirked, he had been right when he assumed this would be easy. ---- Reberos paled as he watched his soldiers fall from the sky. One by one, slave and mount alike crashed to the ground, dead, or wounded. “No!” He sobbed. “This…This cant happen!” “It IS happening, Reberos! You have to do something!” Flitora shouted. “What can I do!?” Wailed Reberos. “I cant defeat Jez Kardbom!” Flitora glared at the pathetic rebel leader, and snatched up a pair of Rapiers. He hurriedly ran out of the slave compound and leapt onto the back of Deathchoker, who had remained on the ground instead of going into the fray. “Hurry, Deathchoker my friend!” Flitora said urgently. “We must save our comrades!” The Doombird nodded and gave a mighty war cry, launching into the sky. Inside the compound, the slaves watched in awe as one of their own took off on a fatal mission, to stop the tyrant known as Jez Kardbom. Flitora and Deathchoker flew hurriedly through the masses of fighting soldiers, avoiding tarot cards and blows from enemy soldiers. Deathchoker suddenly dove down, headed right for the head of the Motley Empire. Jez’s eyes widened in surprise and slight fear as the massive bird and its rider headed for him, grim determination on both their faces. “DIE, SCUM!” Flitora yelled at Jez as they headed for him. Deathchoker reared his large scorpion tail backwards, ready to sting the enemy android into death. Jez threw his cards at the duo, but to no avail. The bird was simply too fast. It screeched in rage and struck. Its stinger flew forward, too fast for Jez to stop it. But he managed to throw a single card into Deathchoker’s face. His arm was pierced by the stinger, and went dead. He winced; he was a master at disguising pain. He pulled free and dashed off, before the venom could fill his body. The card bomb exploded in Deathchoker’s eye, and the explosion sent blood everywhere. Despite that, he made it back to the Slave Compound before passing out. Flitora staggered off of his mount, the explosion had wounded him as well. The last thing he saw before he blacked out was slaves rushing out of the compound toward him. ---- The Burning Plains Sasu walked carefully through the burning plains. It was name for the fact that lightning struck quite frequently, even on the clearest of days, for an unknown reason. This, of course, set the fields alight with flames. As a matter of fact there was plenty of fire already. There was always at least 2 fires burning in the plains, since it never rained. If anything, it was the living worlds version of Hells Forges. Sasu was cautious. Lightning could strike anywhere, at any moment, or he could be attacked by the people who were crazy enough to live in the plains. Suddenly he had the urge to flee. He ran forward then turned to see lightning strike the spot he had stood moments before. He exhaled, not even realizing he had been holding his breath. It was a good thing the crackling of electricity in the air warned you where the bolt would strike, or he would’ve been dead. “That was close.” He sighed. “The sooner I escape this dreadful place, the better.” He headed off. As he walked, he said, “Just one thing…Where exactly am I going?” “Where the Higher Power leads, young one.” Said a voice from behind him. He wheeled around, but there was no one there. He shrugged and continued on. As he walked, a figure stepped out from a hole in a Cliffside. He watched Sasu depart, a smile on his face. “Continue on your quest, little Android. We’ll be there to guide you.” He departed, leaving no trace that he had been there. --- Sasu stood on top of a tall rock formation. It was a dangerous idea, being so high up when lightning was constant. But he had to see what the landscape was like, or else he was lost. Quietly he scoped out the landscape. He heard a noise behind him, like a slight breeze. He turned, because wind is uncommon in the plains. Nothing was there, however. He turned away. But if he had looked at his shadow, he would have seen it no longer looked like him, but like something else… Slowly Sasu climbed down the formation. He was rather high up, so a fall could be fatal. “Why do I get the feeling I’m being watched?” He murmured. He couldn’t help but feel that someone was observing him, and yet there was no one around. He shook his head. “It’s probably just my imagination.” He said, to calm himself. He stepped onto the brown, dead grass of the plains. “Now, I suppose that going…That way would be best.” He walked off, headed North. He didn’t know for certain if North would take him where he wanted to go, but it wasn’t as if someone had actually made a map of this place…Normally everyone stayed away. He heard the noise like wind again, and now he knew he was being followed. How do I lure my stalker into the open…? He thought. He got an idea. He let out a fake yawn and said, “Boy, am I bushed. Time for a nap.” He knew it was a deadly mistake to stay still in the Plains, but this was the only way. He had to strike before the enemy. He curled up in the grass, closing his eyes. ---- Sasu’s shadow started to do something amazing. It peeled itself off the ground, turning into a three dimensional being instead of a 2 dimensional shadow. This being was a Ghator, the race of creatures that lived in the plains. They were 5 feet tall, with multicolored, scaled skin. Their claws were kept sharp at all times. And, they were strong enough to crush an Oxxirn’s skull with one hand. It hissed, licking its lips. Then, it bent over, getting ready to eat the sleeping prey whole. But little did the creature realize that its prey was very much awake, and getting ready to attack. Suddenly, Sasu kicked it in the jaw, sending it rearing backwards in surprise. Then, he pounced, punching it in its scaly jaws. The reptilian being reared up and sliced at its potential meal, sending Sasu backward into the rock. He crashed into it with a loud crash, and uneasily got back up. “Get ready to die, monster.” Sasu said. The Ghator smirked, as if challenging the android. Then it launched itself at him. ------- Never underestimate the power of a Saber Doombird. |
